National youth protection consultation: young people, families and partners at the heart of rehabilitation
Ideas and recommendations – Online form
About this consultation
The Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux (MSSS) and, more specifically, the Assistant Deputy Minister and National Director of Youth Protection, would like to meet with young people, families and partners to give them a strong voice to express their perspective on rehabilitation services offered to young people with adjustment difficulties.
Consultation objective
The objective of the consultation is to supplement, with current data, the findings made by the Special Commission on Children’s Rights and Youth Protection (CSDEPJ) four years ago. The data will be used to draft the reference framework on services offered in rehabilitation centres for young people with adjustment difficulties.
To ensure that all the actors concerned are consulted, the process will be divided into four parts:
- Part 1: Associations of young people who are or who have been placed
- Part 2: Care providers in institutions and the community who work with young people who have been placed under the Youth Protection Act
- Part 3: Committee of young people who have been placed in a rehabilitation centre for young people with adjustment difficulties (CRJDA)
- Part 4: Parents of young people who have been placed in a CRJDA

Reference framework on services offered in rehabilitation centres for young people with adjustment difficulties
The reference framework will provide a contemporary vision of services based on evidence and the needs of young people and their families. It will guide the service offer of institutions in all regions of Quebec, in line with the needs of their clients and their regional reality. Rest assured that the reference framework will not contain any identifying information.
