As part of the online consultation, you can express your views by submitting a written brief by email, no later than October 20, 2022. This will allow you to comment on the general direction and key issues in Glencore’s proposed renewal of its Ministerial Authorization to operate the Horne Smelter.

Only properly identified organization or individual submissions will be considered for the purposes of this consultation. Please be sure to include the name, address and email address of the author(s).
In addition, all briefs must be submitted in French. If your brief is written in another language, a French translation or substantial summary must be attached. The MELCC cannot publicly release documents submitted in languages other than French, but will consider them if deemed necessary for its review.
Submitted briefs and the consultation report will be made public on this web platform soon. The MELCC will ensure that this complies with the Act respecting access to documents held by public bodies and the protection of personal information.
