Commission indépendante sur les caribous forestiers et montagnards
Public consultation
Final report
The final report is available here. (Available in French only)
Consultation document
The consultation document is an important tool that explains the current situation. It will serve as food for thought, and will help the general public to consider the concerns and issues and formulate recommendations.
It also explains the two theoretical, hypothetical scenarios prepared by the Ministère des Forêts, de la Faune et des Parcs (MFFP), on which the Commission wishes to consult the population and stakeholders.
These scenarios present substantially distinctive visions, and are two of many possible options. Participants may therefore propose other alternative or middle-ground solutions for caribou habitat management, especially those that will achieve a balance between the measures implemented and their social and economic impacts.
